Brave On

I don't want to say I'm a fair-weather fan, but I've been enjoying baseball (Braves baseball) a lot more these days. Could it be that they are making a run for the pennant? Probably. It's always fun to have our hometown team 'represent' on a national level, and I've been taking it all in. It seems like our Braves just can't lose! Well....that is until we show up for a game.

Mark and I took Brandy to a Braves game on her last night in Georgia before she had to head back to school; it was the first time, in a long time, either of us had been to Turner Field. We couldn't wait to see the Braves pull out a victory against the Marlins - and of course they would! WRONG. Leave it to us to go to one of the few games that they didn't win, and played pretty terribly, too. After the first pitch of the game was slammed (by a Marlin) over the wall in center field, we knew we were in for a long night.

Although our Bravos lost the game, all was not for naught. At least we did something right: we came to the field on Fireworks Friday! And what a show it was! The highlight of the night, for sure. I am of the opinion that fireworks make everything more exciting, and speaking of fireworks....

Mark and I were actually talking about that last night! It's very likely, and I think that would make for some exciting games. May the Braves, er, best team win! ;)
