Big Day at Big Dogs

For the holiday weekend, we invited Mark's dad for a visit. We had a great time catching up, watching football, and grillin' out. On Sunday, we decided to take him to our favorite local attraction, Big Dogs on the River!

We were greeted by Big Dog himself, signed our wavers, grabbed our life jackets, and were taken (in a limo!!) up the river - which was terribly low, by the way...I wasn't sure if it was going to be so easy to make our way down (compared to the last time we were there when the river was way up), but we were up for the challenge.

It took us about 2.5 hours and by the time we reached the end, we were exhausted! None of us fell out, but there were a few places where we were forced to get out and walk our kayaks over a few rocks - but that didn't take away from the fun. I'm looking forward to going back again soon!

Here we are the FIRST time we went down the river at Big Dogs - such a fun and memorable day!

Happy Labor Day!
