This self-titled album was the sophomore release from Athens' own indie rockers, The Glands, in 2000. One of the best descriptions I've read about the music is the "warped on-purpose sound" it has, and that it sounds like it was "left outside in the sun too long, but in a good way". I concur. I haven't heard their first album, 'Double Thriller' (1998), but I'm sure I would love it.
In fact, I heard it was no longer in print, but I went to the record store to see if they might have it anyway...well, they did, but it was $48.99!!! It was actually the copy the band first released themselves - not the one that the record company released two years later! So, yeah. I didn't get it....but I'm not giving up! Anyway, here's one of my (many) favorites from The Glands...enjoy!

Girl - you would love this album! Just go get a copy - you won't regret it...and I think it's out of print, too, so you best make it snappy!!
